I guess you never knew that the Motley Fool is one of the most well known stock market blogs out there?

His take is based on market trends and market analysis, which does not favor the product placement of the 3DS. But like he says at the end of the article (if you read the whole thing), that everything remains to be seen and he can be proven wrong.

By the way, I mean no disrespect by the "duh" :)

I'm glad I am not the only one! I actually enjoyed all of the Guild Wars soundtracks that he has composed and I can't wait to hear what he can produce for Guild Wars 2.

@Lord_Doggington

That's because Jeremy Soule composed the original Duke Nukem soundtracks, aka Duke's signature theme. DUH!

I agree to a certain degree. The fate of DCUO will lie in the hands of the developers to continue to support the game. I believe the ultimate test is 6 months from now and what the player install base is. I reckon if DCUO can maintain a constant 500-750K players, it will provide a steady stream of income for the game to continue to be profitable.

However, what worries me is the string of near catastrophic failures of pay to play MMO's such as Warhammer Online and Age of...

Alright fine. We go by your logic. If the PS3 version included a 5/10 game from the past, would you score the PS3 version higher? I eagerly await your answer.

Here's another question. Since Bulletstorm is multiplatform and the 360 version has an exclusive multiplayer beta for Gears of War 3, should we score the 360 version higher than the PS3 version? Again, I eagerly await your answer.

"IGN" does not hate the game. The dedicated MMO reviewer, Nick Kolan hates it because he mentions it felt dumbed down compared to other PC exclusive MMO's. And the comic book nerd is Greg Miller, who is co-reviewing the game with Nick in order to give perspectives of both the PC and PS3 version. Greg and Nick's make gripe is that the PC version does not incorporate PC aspects very well. For instance, they mention that on the PC version, you are nearly incapable of selecting ...

Realistically speaking, It will be a between LA Noire, Mass Effect 3, or Deus Ex: Human Revolution, with the dark horse being Uncharted 3.

My gut feeling is LA Noire is going to take the cake similar to how Red Dead Redemption surprised everyone last year. Even though it is more linear I believe the interrogation & detective gameplay will really help it stand out from all the others. It definitely screams innovation from everything that I have seen so far.

For what it's worth, Bullestorm comes out on the same day as Killzone 3. Also, I would not discredit Crysis 2 just yet. One single game might not destroy KZ3's multiplayer base, but a combination of them can steadily chip away at the population.

@AssassinHD

http://www.amazon.com/Dead-...

Nowhere does it mention Extraction is included contrary to what articles are saying from what I looked up (Yes, the "Limited Edition" has Extraction, I did not know that a Limited Edition was available). The retailers should update that information on their webpages :P ...

Did it ever occur to you that they are only reviewing the regular edition of Dead Space 2 and NOT the Collector's Edition?

Firstly, the MGS4 reviewer is still at IGN. He just joined the PC team a while back due to some reshuffles in the staff.

As for reviewing, here are IGN's reviews for PS3 Games:

Uncharted 2: 9.5/10
inFamous: 9/10
Killzone: 9.4/10
Modnation Racers: 9/10
Resistance 2: 9.5/10
Wipeout HD: 9/10
WIpeout HD Fury: 9.2/10
LittleBigPlanet: 9.5/10
LittleBigPlanet 2: 9.0/10
Etc.

sigh...so you are saying that every single spectacular review that IGN gave to a PS3 exclusive never happened and we are all stupid and insane to think so? Can I introduce you to the dunce hat?

I hope you are seriously joking about what you just typed. Because if you think that is the case, then you are completely delusional.

Although quality MMO's require a subscription like Eve Online, EverQuest II, and WoW, I still wonder why DCUO did not follow in the footsteps of Guild Wars. The game sells for normal retail price, while incorporating micro-transactions and semi-full retail price for any expansions. At the moment, the community is still going strong with 6+ Million copies sold. It is something that has really puzzled me, but I suppose there are certain costs and restrictions that cannot be covered by GW...

After that paragraph, they tried to find the root cause and discovered that a near full harddrive causes the install to drag out longer. Others here mentioned it could be due to the fact that Eurogamer has a PS3 Fat 60gb, which could pose as an additional issue.

**ThanatosDMC, read the article...

Yet, they mentioned that the game is still definitive based on the amount of content packed in, **irregardless of the minor texture and lighting differences. You never finished reading the article did you?

**should be regardless, nice catch there mac_sparrow :P
